Keiko Tokunaga and David Lincoln Wolf were married Oct. 16 by Joey Tai, a staff member of the New York City Clerk’s office, at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau. On Oct. 15, Jennifer S. West, a close friend of the bride, led the couple in their vows at Linden Terrace of Fort Tryon Park in Manhattan.

Ms. Tokunaga, 33, is a violinist with the Attacca Quartet and a faculty member at the Juilliard School Pre-College, both in Manhattan. She graduated from the Juilliard School, from which she also received a master’s degree in violin performance, and an artist diploma in string quartet studies.

She is the daughter of Noriko Tokunaga and Fujio Tokunaga of Yokohama, Japan. The bride’s father is a senior engineer at Japan Manned Space Systems Corporation in Tokyo.

Mr. Wolf, 51, is a software developer specializing in data warehousing in Manhattan at the technology office of 2U, an online education company in Lanham, Md. He graduated from Columbia, from which he also received a master’s degree in computer science.

The groom’s previous marriage ended in divorce.

He is a son of Carol E. Wolf and Edward L. Wolf of Brooklyn. The groom’s mother retired as a professor of computer science from Pace University, where she continues to teach as an adjunct professor. His father is a professor of physics at the New York University Tandon School of Engineering in Manhattan.

The couple met in September 2014 on a platform of an 86th Street subway station in Manhattan, after Mr. Wolf, a pianist in an amateur chamber trio, noticed Ms. Tokunaga was carrying a violin case bearing a Juilliard alumni patch. During a brief conversation she mentioned the name of her string quartet, which provided enough of a clue for him to track down her website, and then ask her to dinner.

新郎の前の結婚は離婚で終わった。

彼はブルックリンのキャロル・ウルフとエドワード・L・ウルフの息子です。新郎の母親は、ペース大学のコンピュータサイエンス教授として退職し、現在は補佐教授として教え続けています。彼の父はマンハッタンのニューヨーク大学Tandon School of Engineeringの物理学の教授です。

この夫婦は、マンハッタンの86th Street地下鉄駅のプラットフォームで、2014年9月にアマチュア室内トリオのピアニスト、WolfさんがJuilliardの同窓生のパッチを持ったヴァイオリンのケースを運んでいたことを知りました。簡単な会話の中で、彼女は弦楽四重奏の名前を述べました。彼女のウェブサイトを追跡し、夕食に頼むための手掛かりがありました。
